Stephen Fry is one of my favorite people in the world, someone whose carrier I’ve tried to follow wherever it may take him. So you have to understand that I’m the kind of person you might find agreeing with him all the time about any number of topics.

As is the case right here, except not many English speaking purists found any interest to talk to a foreigner about improper use of their language. I can, however, recount any number of stories of when I’ve come head to head with our own (regional) Croatian or Serbian or even Bosnian purists over such idiotic topics as using two synonyms when one of them is simply ‘not proper’ in the language in question (Croatian/Serbian/Bosnian, and as of recently, Montenegrin).

In the other news, my laptop was stolen. From my own apartment. I’m using a (hopefully) temporary stand-in, so bear with me as I bring it up to speed. Literally, it only has 444 MB of RAM, the poor sod.
